This third strip has gone through the most revisions between script and finished product of any of the dozen or so we’ve completed so far. The gist was always the same, but the punchline never quite worked until we arrived at this one we’re fairly happy with. Early drafts had Sam jumping up and rushing outside, which simply wasn’t in character.
